Germany suspends the delivery of military equipment related to operations in Gaza to Israel.
Jin10 data reported on August 8 that Germany will stop delivering equipment that could be used for military operations in the Gaza Strip, a move made out of concern for the humanitarian suffering in the region. German Chancellor Merz stated in a statement on Friday that the ban on the delivery of tank parts and other defense-related materials will remain in effect until further notice. The catalyst for this decision was the approval given to Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu for a military takeover of Gaza City. This decision is significant for Germany. He reiterated Israel’s right to self-defense but questioned whether further attacks on Gaza would help achieve its goal of defeating Hamas.
