On November 16, Jinshi Data reported that on November 15, the spokesperson for the United Nations Secretary-General, Dujarric, stated that the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) reported on the 14th that one of its patrol teams was attacked while carrying out patrol tasks in southern Lebanon. Several unidentified individuals fired about 30 bullets at the peacekeeping personnel, who returned fire and moved to a safe area. No casualties were reported. Dujarric emphasized that peacekeeping personnel should never be targeted for attack, and all relevant parties have a responsibility and obligation to protect them.
