Duolingo's stock price has risen nearly 7%, sparking a Chinese learning craze among American users.

On January 17, Jin10 Data reported that the stock price of language learning platform Duolingo rose by 6.82% on Thursday due to a significant increase in the number of registered users learning Chinese. Data released by the company on Thursday showed that the number of American users using its program to learn Mandarin Chinese surged by nearly 216% from December 1 to January 13 compared to the same period last year. Duolingo offers online and mobile courses in 42 languages, with 48.8 million Spanish learners ranking first on its website. French is the second most popular language in the app, with 27.3 million learners, while the number of Chinese learners ranks eighth with 10.7 million.
