An explosion at an ammunition depot in central Iraq killed three and injured four

On January 21st, according to Jinshi Data, the Security Media Center under the Iraqi Joint Operations Command issued a statement saying that an explosion occurred in an ammunition depot in central Iraq, resulting in the death of 3 Iraqi officers and injury of 4 soldiers. The statement said that after receiving intelligence, a security force went to a hidden ammunition depot in the Tarmiyah area, about 40 kilometers north of Baghdad. During the inspection, a ‘technical error’ led to the explosion of the ammunition depot. The statement also denied that this incident was related to terrorism and stated that the Iraqi security agencies have launched an investigation into the incident.
