Statement that will make noise from a famous name! "In addition to Bitcoin in the US Reserve, this altcoin must also be included!"
The creation of a national Bitcoin reserve by Donald Trump, who officially took office last week, is eagerly awaited.
At this point, while the names of other altcoins besides Bitcoin are mentioned for national reserves, XRP is the most talked about here.
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse also stated in his comments that the reserve should not consist of only one token, advocating the inclusion of various tokens such as Bitcoin, XRP.
XRP, More Advantageous Compared to Bitcoin!
While the discussions about strategic reserves continue, Austin King, one of the founders of Omni Network, argued that XRP should also be included in the US reserve.
King pointed out an advantage that justifies XRP's inclusion in the US strategic reserve compared to Bitcoin.
At this point, Omni Network founder listed why XRP could be a valuable choice for US reserves and its advantages compared to Bitcoin in terms of functionality.
King first argued that only including Bitcoin in the US crypto reserves would limit the benefits of BTC.
According to the famous name, Bitcoin was designed to serve as a decentralized store of value, while XRP was created specifically to modernize and improve the financial system.
Secondly, according to King, Bitcoin prioritizes decentralization, which leads to slower transaction speeds. In contrast, XRP focuses on high performance, making it a more practical option for including financial institutions.
At this point, Austin King shared a video in which Ripple's former CTO, Stefan Thomas, explains the advantages of XRP compared to Bitcoin to support his claims about XRP Bitcoin.
Thomas stated in this video that XRP is 1,000 times faster than Bitcoin in terms of transaction confirmation times, has more predictable and cost-effective transactions, and while Bitcoin transactions cost a few dollars or more, XRP transactions cost only a fraction of a cent.
After all this comparison, King XRP argued that it could provide more value than Bitcoin for strategic reserves.
Diversity is Necessary!
The founder of Omni Network recently argued that diversifying reserves would be more beneficial, stating that including only Bitcoin would limit the reserve to a single use case that serves as a digital gold function.
King said that American politicians also share his views and said the following:
Including only BTC will limit the reserve to only one use case for crypto. Including other assets like XRP will enable the reserve to benefit from all use cases of crypto.
Blockchain will offer much more than just digital gold.
We have the potential to create an open financial foundation for the world, but you need a high-performance network like XRP to make this happen.
I am not the only one who sees this. It is becoming increasingly clear that lawmakers in the United States share the same perspective.
