DAO Governance: The Continuation of Power Decentralization and Social Experiment

Before discussing DAO governance, we need to first review the evolution of the concept of governance in the real world. Governance originates from the Latin word meaning "to lead or navigate," and initially refers to the exercise of authority within a specific scope. In the 1990s, with the rise of various social organizations, the field of public administration gradually developed, and the concept of governance truly entered the public's view.

Throughout human history, the decentralization of power has been a long process. From primitive society to agricultural civilization, and then to the industrial era, the groups that control the means of production have gradually expanded. With the advent of the information age, the importance of intellectual labor has increased, creating more opportunities for ordinary people to participate in governance. This trend of decentralization has continued and developed in the world of blockchain.

Blockchain technology provides new experimental scenarios for decentralization of power. Through the token mechanism, each holder can obtain a certain level of governance rights. This model further releases power, allowing more people to participate in decision-making. Although decentralization can bring diversity of thought and innovation, it also increases the difficulty of formulating and implementing governance rules.

DAO( is precisely pursuing this decentralized yet cohesive power. It attempts to disperse the power held by those who control the means of production, then reassemble it to achieve significant breakthroughs, before dispersing and reassembling again, in a continuous cycle. This process not only continues the trend of decentralization of power in the real world but also explores new governance models using blockchain technology.

Currently, DAO governance research is still in its early stages and faces many challenges. However, from a historical perspective, this is a long-term social experiment. Whether it can provide valuable experiences for the real world depends on the patience and determination of the participants. DAO governance is not an endpoint, but a continuously evolving process. To what extent our generation can leverage the potential of DAOs will directly impact the future development of this innovative governance model.

The more power is decentralized, the lower the execution ability.

Don't make it so profound, it's just a social experiment.

Decentralization of power? Only by looking at the mempool can we know which Large Investors are the true rulers.

It's too early to talk about DAO, the market is still early.
