Odaily News The Indian anti-corruption court sentenced 14 people to life imprisonment, including 11 police officials and a former legislator of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), who were convicted of kidnapping an Indian businessman in 2018 and extorting cryptocurrency. The judge found the gang guilty of criminal conspiracy, kidnapping for ransom, illegal detention, and assault.
