TG BOT track observation: After a year of popularity, how are the "cash cows" rolling up?
Author: Nan Zhi, Odaily Star Daily
In the third quarter of last year, the MEME market once again became hot, breaking the monopoly of Maestro and ushering in a large number of Telegram Bot projects, including BananaGun, Unibot, and other leading projects at the time. There were also products like WagieBot, MEVFree, etc. that quickly disappeared. Telegram Bot has officially become a major core track.
In an article a year ago, I predicted the future direction of the ‘Trading Bot’ track with five pictures. I believed that due to the stock market of Meme and the lack of network effects, Unibot has the potential to be subverted, and its future development direction will focus on ‘one-stop product’ and ‘significant advantages in a specific function’.
One year later, how is the competition of Telegram Bot? What kind of products are the most popular? Odaily Star Daily will be revealed in this article.
Changes in Competitive Landscape
Ethereum: Transitioning from a Superpower to a Bipolar Structure
The following is the distribution of Telegram Bot usage fee income in early September 23, with Maestro occupying over 50% of the market share at that time, Unibot’s market share has not changed significantly since late July, while BananaGun’s share has been rising continuously.
To this day, most Bots have withdrawn from the competition, while BananaGun has completed a turnaround and holds about 45% of the market share with Maestro. UniBot is in a complete decline, and Token has also fallen by over 95% from its peak. Pepeboost has an average market share of 7% in the past three months, with a slight rise trend.
Solana 群雄争霸
The products on Solana are more diverse. The chart below shows the proportion of Bot usage fees in the past three months. Trojan (formerly known as Unibot On Solana) has taken the leading position, once ranking fifth in total income on the network, and the market share of other Bots is also very solid.
In addition to the products shown in the figure below, several ‘domestic products’ such as GMGN and CashcashBot are also one of the current mainstream products, but they are not included in the statistics because there is no publicly available query data.
Product Trends
Telegram Bot has a very high profit margin, fierce market competition, and serious homogeneity in terms of functions (mainly for sniper and buying/selling). What competitive strategies do the Bots adopt to stand out?
Conclusion
Currently, the total daily income of Solana Bot is about 1 million US dollars, and the total daily income of ETH Bot is about 150,000 US dollars, far exceeding various mainstream protocols. Therefore, the current market has not yet started to “roll fees”, but is focusing on product development, with “one-stop products” and “specific advantageous features” still being the main development direction. In addition, the community has also become a key focus of operations, with high-stickiness, high-activity communities becoming a focus of some bots.
