The explorer of zkSync Era is an important window for users, developers, and investors to understand on-chain dynamics. Through it, we can track key metrics such as Total Value Locked (TVL), active addresses, contract calls, etc. This makes the assessment of the ecosystem’s health more transparent and accurate.
For developers, the explorer helps review contracts, debug transactions, and observe contract holders; for investors or airdrop hunters, it tracks airdrop wallet behavior and token flows; for the community, the explorer is the foundation of trust and participation.
Recently, zkSync Era has shown signs of recovery after experiencing a period of declining on-chain activity. Its TVL has returned to approximately $140 million, indicating that ecological funds are gathering again. At the same time, the increase in active addresses and trading volume also shows that user interest in zkSync Era is recovering. These data changes can be viewed in real-time through the explorer, providing timely insights for the community.
ZK tokens are an important component of the zkSync ecosystem, but their issuance and price behavior are quite volatile. About 40% of the addresses that received airdrops completely sold off their ZK. In response to this, zkSync officials stated that some addresses are “test addresses” with 0 transactions, and their tokens may have been destroyed. On the explorer, we can monitor the token flow of these addresses, the number of transactions, and whether the tokens are still being held, thereby determining whether the impact of the airdrop on the market has weakened.
The zkSync Era ecosystem is not limited to DeFi. Multiple projects such as infrastructure, cross-chain bridges, NFTs, and games have been deployed on it. In the DeFi field, SyncSwap is a decentralized exchange (DEX) and was an important component of its TVL.
In terms of cross-chain bridges, official bridges such as bridge and Orbiter have been integrated, making asset flow between the Ethereum mainnet and zkSync Era more convenient. Through the explorer, we can see which contracts have received more deposits and which DApps are being heavily used, allowing us to identify ecosystem hotspots.
Technically, zkSync has announced that its prover system will switch from the original solution to a STARK-based proof system called “Boojum,” which will enhance performance and reduce resource consumption. Additionally, the research paper also demonstrates the design direction of zkSync’s consensus protocol, further improving efficiency and security. These technological upgrades present opportunities not only for developers but will also impact on-chain data and token value. The Explorer is an important tool for observing whether these changes are truly implemented.
