Crypto market maker *GSR announced today that it has (PIPE) a $100 million private public equity investment in Upexi, a brand owner specializing in the development, production, and distribution of consumer products.

GSR aims to assist Upexi in establishing a crypto reserve strategy with this investment.

Upexi plans to accumulate Solana (SOL) and purchase shares to ensure long-term asset growth with this investment and provide returns to shareholders.

GSR Research Head Brian Rudick stated, “This investment highlights the growing demand for effective and secure access to high-quality crypto assets in public markets. Solana’s speed, scalability, and vibrant developer ecosystem make it an ideal foundation for long-term growth, and we are honored to help accelerate the integration of digital assets into institutional portfolios.”

The 100 million dollar investment in question highlights GSR’s confidence in Solana as a leading high-performance blockchain and underscores GSR’s mission to bridge the gap between traditional capital markets and the digital asset ecosystem.

Lily Liu, President of the Solana Foundation, said, “It is encouraging to see institutions exploring blockchain infrastructure in meaningful ways. The announcement from GSR and Upexi highlights the growing interest in using Solana for real-world financial applications, and this is another sign of how traditional finance and DeFi are beginning to intersect.”
