According to a report from Mars Finance on April 29, the project Bitlayer, based on the BitVM technology in the Bitcoin ecosystem, announced the integration of BitVM Bridge with the Monad Testnet, allowing users to experience cross-ecosystem BTC bridging functions in a trust-minimized manner. Monad is an emerging high-performance Layer 1 network, currently having over 9.8 million active users and more than 69 million independent wallets. After this integration is completed, Monad’s ecosystem users at the scale of tens of millions will have the opportunity to directly experience the first application based on BitVM, BitVM Bridge, bridging vBTC from the BitVM Bridge Testnet (BitVMNet) to the Monad Testnet, minting the corresponding YBTC, and exploring the potential of YBTC for financial yield in the Monad ecosystem. Meanwhile, BitVM Bridge now supports the function of bridging YBTC back to BitVMNet, inviting users to log in and experience it.
