Golden Ten Data, August 12th News, the market research firm TrendForce’s latest research report shows that due to the significant increase in demand for AI, AI server-related customers have recently further requested that suppliers add Enterprise SSD. In order to meet the supply of SSD for AI applications, upstream suppliers have accelerated process upgrades and begun planning to launch 2YY products, with mass production expected in 2025. The agency estimates that the purchase capacity of AI-related SSDs this year will exceed 45EB. In the coming years, AI servers are expected to drive an average annual growth rate of SSD demand of over 60%, and the proportion of AI SSD demand in the entire NAND Flash is expected to rise from 5% in 2024 to 9% in 2025.
