Cronos EVM completes Pallene upgrade, improving transaction execution speed by 600 times.

PANews reported on December 12 that Cronos, an EVM-compatible block chain, has completed the v1.4.0 Palene upgrade, which increases the transaction execution speed by 600 times. This upgrade enables Virtual Machine to process up to 60,000 transactions per second (TPS) by introducing Block-STM technology to enable parallel transaction processing within a single block to meet the needs of next-generation Block chain applications. In addition, Pallene also introduces optimistic execution through Cosmos SDK 0.50, optimizing Block processing and network response capabilities, and upgrading the Inter-Blockchain Communication protocol (IBC) to enhance cross-chain connectivity.
