According to sources, it is expected that UK Chancellor of the Exchequer Reeves will announce the UK's annual budget plan on November 26, which is becoming increasingly crucial for the Labour government led by Prime Minister Starmer. Sources say Reeves is expected to announce the date for the spending plan to be unveiled in November on Wednesday. This annual highlight—the latest major fiscal event in 11 years—is becoming a severe test for Reeves. Economists estimate that Reeves may need to raise taxes or cut spending by up to £51 billion (approximately $68 billion) to fill the public finance gap and restore the currently insufficient fiscal buffer of less than £10 billion.
