In order to implement the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party, deepen the special campaign to boost consumption, better leverage the role of movies in driving consumption growth, and promote the transformation of the film industry toward a diverse consumer ecosystem, the National Film Administration and the Ministry of Commerce have organized the “Film+” comprehensive consumer pilot program.
According to the selection and recommendation of relevant provinces and cities, Beijing Chaoyang District, Changchun City in Jilin Province, Hongkou District in Shanghai, Wuxi City in Jiangsu Province, Ningbo City in Zhejiang Province, Fuzhou City in Fujian Province, Qingdao City in Shandong Province, Zhengzhou City in Henan Province, Yichang City in Hubei Province, Changsha City in Hunan Province, Shenzhen City in Guangdong Province, Liangjiang New Area in Chongqing, Chengdu City in Sichuan Province, Yan’an City in Shaanxi Province, as well as Kunshan City in Jiangsu Province and Nanxun District in Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province, are designated as “Film+” comprehensive consumer pilot cities.
According to the work plan, pilot cities will carry out activities in cultivating increased film viewing consumption, promoting quality and innovative cinema consumption, expanding film derivative consumption through innovation, creating “Film+” consumption brands, and exploring “Film+” consumption monitoring. These efforts aim to fully leverage the creative leadership of films, cultivate cultural aspirations, gather popularity, and empower economic and social development through “Film+” consumption. The goal is to create new business formats, models, and scenarios related to film consumption, further extend the film industry chain, value chain, and consumption chain, foster a healthy film consumption culture and ecosystem, promote the prosperity of the film market, and better meet the people’s growing needs for a better life.
