Golden Data September 18th, local time on the afternoon of the 18th, the Komeito party of Japan announced the election of the party leader. Information from all parties shows that apart from the current secretary-general of the party, Keiichi Ishii, no one else plans to register as a candidate. Keiichi Ishii will be elected as the new leader of the Komeito party without a vote. The relevant appointment will be officially approved at the Komeito party conference on September 28. Natsuo Yamaguchi, who has been the leader of the Komeito party since 2009, announced on the 10th of this month that he will step down and not seek re-election. This will be the first change of party leader in 15 years for the Komeito party.
