The New York prosecutor is considering dropping charges against the co-founder of Samourai Wallet.
The New York prosecutors are considering whether to withdraw the charges against Samourai Wallet co-founders Keonne Rodriguez and William Lonergan Hill. In a joint letter to Southern District Federal Court Judge Richard Berman, both parties requested a 16-day delay in the case proceedings so that the prosecutors have more time to review the defense’s motion to dismiss based on a new policy memo issued by U.S. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche on April 7. Previously, prosecutors stated that Samourai Wallet was involved in approximately $2 billion in illegal transactions between 2015 and 2024. (CoinDesk)
