According to Bloomberg, Ripple had proposed an acquisition of stablecoin issuer Circle Internet Group Inc. for between $4 billion and $5 billion, but the offer was rejected as too low. Circle is focused on advancing its IPO plans submitted earlier this month, while Ripple has yet to decide whether to make a new acquisition offer. Circle declined to comment on market rumors and stated that due to the current SEC regulatory quiet period, it cannot disclose further financial plans.
