[SEC Releases FAQ on Activities Involving Crypto Assets and Distributed Ledger Technology] According to Cointelegraph, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has released a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) document clarifying how broker-dealer and transfer agent rules apply to crypto assets and Distributed Ledger technology. SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce stated that the guidelines address the issues of custody rules, the creation of physical encryption ETFs, and tokenized securities, calling it a “progressive step” forward.
