UXLINK: from rise to fall and the chance of rebirth
What is the project
UXLINK was conceived as a Web3 social infrastructure: to unite friends, groups, wallets, and cross-chain services in one application. The team promised significant development, and the token quickly made it to listings.
What happened
At the end of September, the project faced a heavy attack:
the multi-signature wallet has been hacked,
hackers withdrew assets of approximately $11 million,
additional billions of tokens were issued outside the original tokenomics.
The market reacted immediately - the price fell by more than 70%, and trust in the project was under threat.
The UXLINK team acknowledged the issue and began to take action:
working with exchanges to freeze stolen funds,
launch of the token swap plan — exchanging old tokens for new, "clean" ones,
audit of smart contracts and cooperation with law enforcement agencies.
Some exchanges (, such as Upbit), have already marked the token as "suspicious" and restricted operations.
What is happening now
The damage has been partially recorded, and part of the assets are blocked.
The project is preparing a token migration to regain control over the issuance.
The community is divided: some investors are waiting for compensation, while others have already lost interest.
Is there a chance for recovery?
There is a chance, but it is small.
What can help:
successful token swap and transparent audit,
exchange support,
active work with the community.
What prevents:
undermined trust,
destroyed tokenomics,
competitors that can occupy the niche.
Result
UXLINK today is an example of how a single vulnerability can collapse a promising project. Recovery is possible, but only with the team's competent actions and the investors' willingness to give a second chance.
