According to a report by "First Financial", three gold and jewelry companies in Shenzhen Shui Bei have recently been investigated for suspected casino operation crimes. The Shenzhen Gold and Jewelry Industry Association pointed out in an industry warning letter that these companies, under the guise of operating gold, actually engage in "non-physical gold betting" business through online platforms. Such companies attract investors to participate in high Marj Trade by adopting a "pre-set price" model, requiring as low as about 2.4% deposit to lock in the gold price, which is essentially "futures-like betting". As gold prices soared, some platforms faced payment difficulties and even "Rug Pull". Currently, relevant persons in charge have been subjected to criminal coercive measures according to the law.
