Don't remind me again today

The Meteora community has been in an uproar recently. Member gosha fired shots directly, calling out HumidiFi—the platform that accounts for half of Solana DEX trading volume—and questioning why they suddenly decided to launch an ICO.

The answer he gave was pretty blunt: the team might not be making any money at all.

HumidiFi is currently in the spotlight as the largest Prop AMM on Solana, capturing nearly 50% of DEX trading volume. But after digging into the data, gosha found that their fees are ridiculously low—just 0.001%, with some pools even lower.

As a long-time LP in liquidity pools, gosha did the math: even with a 0.04% fee rate, it's tough to stay profitable, let alone with HumidiFi's almost giveaway fee structure.

So here’s the big question—with high trading volume but little to no profits, how long can this model last? Is the ICO just a desperate move for the team to raise funds? Or is there some business logic we're missing?

This fee war in the Solana ecosystem might be a lot more complicated than it looks on the surface.

A 0.001% fee—if that’s not basically giving it away, what is? Is HumidiFi just trying to bankrupt itself with this move?

A 0.001% fee, that's really losing money just to make a name for themselves. No wonder they needed an ICO to raise capital. --- The trading volume is huge, but at this rate they're burning cash like crazy. The team needs to figure something out. --- Gosha's analysis this time is spot on, really hits the nail on the head. --- Feels like HumidiFi is just stacking users with subsidies. Sooner or later, they'll have to rely on fundraising to survive. --- With the fee war like this, in the end it's still the whales making money, while small LPs get squeezed out. --- 0.001% is really ruthless, honestly the logic here is a bit surreal. --- I just want to know how much money they burned to get 50% of the trading volume. Was it worth it? --- That's why behind every seemingly successful project, there's always a story. --- Isn't an ICO just another way to fleece retail investors? Who cares about business logic. --- The Solana ecosystem really is a mess; it's anyone's guess who'll survive in the end.
