The cross-chain channel between Base and Solana has finally been established. The technology behind this bridge is quite robust—message verification uses a dual-insurance mechanism: both a custom oracle from Chainlink CCIP and Coinbase’s own nodes process the transactions to ensure asset transfer security.
Practical use cases are already rolling out: users can now move SOL and other SPL tokens directly to Base and back, with the reverse operation also supported. It’s more convenient for developers too, as they can natively support Solana ecosystem assets within Base applications. Platforms like Zora, Aerodrome, Virtuals, Flaunch, and Relay can all be used.
This kind of infrastructure-level interoperability means that the liquidity and user bases of both chains can leverage each other. Previously, cross-chain operations required several complicated steps—now, it’s a one-step process.

Finally, no more jumping back and forth; going straight to the point is really great. But we still need to see when the ecosystems of these two chains can truly merge. Right now, it still feels like each is doing its own thing.

No more messing around with multiple bridges—going straight to the destination in one step feels great.

Oh wow, the channel between Base and Sol is finally open, no more jumping through so many hoops.
---
The dual validation mechanism is solid. If Coinbase is running its own node, I feel reassured.
---
Moving SOL directly to Base? Now liquidity can really come alive.
---
The Zora team has been waiting for this for a long time. Now they can finally relax.
---
Honestly, this is way more reliable than those flashy cross-chain solutions before.
---
Doing it all in one step sounds great, but I still want to see how it works in practice.
---
Wait, does this mean all those old bridges can be ditched now?
---
Aerodrome and Relay are probably about to take off—liquidity makes all the difference.
---
Interoperability at the infrastructure level—this really sounds like a big deal.
---
Native support for Solana ecosystem assets—developers are definitely going to love this.

No more messing around with multiple bridges, now you can use SOL directly on Base, this will really boost liquidity.
