Another major crackdown on crypto scammers just went down in Thailand. Authorities there rounded up dozens of suspects allegedly running elaborate romance scams and fake investment schemes targeting victims online.

These operations typically follow a familiar playbook: build trust through dating apps or social media, then gradually pitch "exclusive" trading opportunities or guaranteed-return investment plans. The schemes often involve fake crypto platforms designed to look legitimate until victims try withdrawing funds.

This bust serves as a reminder that sophisticated fraud networks continue targeting the crypto space. Whether it's pig butchering scams or phony wealth programs, the warning signs remain consistent—unsolicited investment advice, pressure to act quickly, and platforms you've never heard of.

Stay skeptical when strangers online suddenly want to help you get rich. If an opportunity sounds too perfect, it probably is. Do your own research, verify platforms independently, and never send funds based solely on someone's recommendation—no matter how convincing they seem.

NGL, I'm already tired of seeing this kind of romance scam... Thailand did a good job cracking down this time, but they'll never catch them all. Too many people are still falling for it.

Thailand did a great job this time, but to be honest, these tricks are already everywhere... Every time I see "guaranteed returns," I immediately blacklist them.

Oh man, is it another scammer bust over in Thailand? These guys are really out of control—starting with a romance and suddenly talking about investments, it's just wild… The same old scripts: "exclusive opportunity," "guaranteed returns." You can tell it’s all a trap just by listening. The most outrageous are those fake platforms that look totally legit, and you only realize your money’s gone when you try to withdraw—truly hopeless. I’ve got a buddy who fell for it, got totally scammed by a fake female profile, and he still gets super embarrassed talking about it. Honestly, this kind of thing is all over the crypto space—pig-butchering scams, fake investment schemes, it’s all the same playbook. If a stranger suddenly gets friendly and wants to teach you how to make money? Wake up, people. There’s no such thing as a free lunch, but scammers will never go hungry. The worst are those who sound really convincing—super “professional,” giving you market analysis and leading you step by step into the trap. So seriously, do your own research and don’t blindly trust anyone—not even if a friend recommends it. These days, DYOR is the only way to go.

It's the same old trick again, the romance scam just changes its disguise and continues scamming elsewhere... Thailand cracked down pretty hard this time, but it'll pop up again next time.

Here comes another wave—Thailand has rounded up all these romance scam guys... Same old trick: gain trust through a dating app and then pitch some "exclusive" deal. I've seen this stuff before; it's so lame.
