The first time in Hong Kong, I didn’t get in line; the second time in Dubai, I didn’t make it either. But now I’ve figured it out:
First, ask your business contact for a ticket. Then confirm the time, arrive early, and bring a stool to sit and line up. Hold up a sign—fan leader—to avoid being cut in line or kicked out. Find the right camera angle, get someone to help with shooting or set up a tripod and pinpoint the spot. Snap, snap, snap.
Then keep several extra shots—they’ll come in handy in different countries next time. Edit the photos and post on Twitter.
