The first season snapshot of MemeMax has been taken. My final rank in 7D was only 68. I didn’t even make an appearance in 30D, so I probably won’t get anything from this round. I can only go for the second season now.

From "Precision Machine" to "Organic Ecosystem": The Wild Growth and Official Loss of Control in MemeMax

While everyone is focused on @MemeMax_Fi's token model and trading data, an overlooked truth is emerging: this project is experiencing a tug-of-war between "official design" and "wild community growth." It's like a meticulously planned garden that ends up sprouting a bunch of strange plants you've never seen before—but that might actually be a good thing.

MemeMax designed a precise "trade-to-earn points, points-for-rewards" machine, but the community has turned it into a large-scale online performance art event. While the project team thinks everyone is seriously boosting trading volume, users are actually competing to see who can craft the most tragic loss story or create the wildest meme edits. This kind of off-script creativity has become the true lifeblood of the project.

Even more remarkable is the community-driven "unofficial economic system." Much like an underground barter market in the real world, some users might not care about official points but desperately want access to a limited-edition meme. Thus, grassroots exchanges like "I'll trade you my rare meme for your card pack," or "my joke for your vote," have emerged. These activities are nowhere in the whitepaper, but they make up the most authentic ecological cycle.

What excites and worries the project team the most is that the community is redefining the project's value. When the "loss story contest" is more popular than the trading leaderboard, and a user-created, meme-worthy Gmaxibara capybara sticker spreads wider than official posters, the project's core value quietly shifts from "trading technology" to "community emotional contagion."

So MemeMax’s most interesting experiment might not be whether it can build a perpetual contract DEX, but rather to what extent a project can tolerate and embrace this "loss of control." When the community starts to rewrite the rules of the game, the smartest project teams aren’t those who try to force things back on track, but those who learn to "go with the flow"—like a surfer who doesn’t control the waves, but rides them.
