Wall Street is really moving their money onto the blockchain.

The Wall Street giant DTCC's subsidiary DTC just received a no-action letter from the US SEC. What does this mean? To put it simply — the SEC has approved their tokenization of real assets like US stocks, ETFs, and government bonds. The three-year pilot program has now been launched.

The numbers are a bit staggering: DTC's custodial assets amount to about $100 trillion, with an annual transaction volume of $3.7 quadrillion. This accounts for roughly 40% of the global custody market, far surpassing the $46 trillion handled by traditional custodian bank BNY Mellon.

Imagine what this could bring — companies can issue stocks directly on the chain without needing traditional exchanges for fundraising; or use tokenized stocks and US bonds as collateral to borrow USDC on DeFi platforms, instantly enabling cross-chain liquidity with just a few clicks. The barriers between on-chain and off-chain will be completely broken down, and lending efficiency will far surpass that of traditional banks.

Traditional financial systems will feel what disruption truly means. This time, Wall Street's embrace of blockchain is not just talk — it's happening for real.

Damn, moving 100 trillion onto the chain? If this really goes through, traditional finance will be completely revolutionized.

Wow, $100 trillion is now on the blockchain? Traditional finance is really going to have to rename itself to "conventional" now.
