$PI The relationship between Pi Network and the Stellar protocol:
1. It indeed uses the Stellar protocol: In the early technical architecture of Pi Network, it was built on the Stellar blockchain protocol to develop its own consensus mechanism and node system. The core team of Pi drew on some design concepts of the Stellar consensus protocol(SCP).
2. But it does not directly use the Stellar chain:
.Pi does not operate directly on the Stellar mainnet. It does not use Stellar's native token (XLM)Pi has established its own independent blockchain network, with its design influenced by the Stellar consensus protocol.
3. It has undergone significant modifications:
.Pi adopts a variant of the "Federated Byzantine Agreement." It has added innovative mechanisms such as "Security Circles." It has designed a user-friendly consensus algorithm suitable for mobile device mining. Scalability for large-scale user participation has been considered.
4. The current Pi mainnet: It has now migrated to its own mainnet, with an independent blockchain architecture. Although technically rooted in Stellar, it has evolved into a quite different system.
In simple terms: Pi Network's technical design draws on the ideas of the Stellar protocol, but it does not run directly on the Stellar network. Instead, it is built on a similar concept to create its own independent blockchain.
