The major NFT marketplaces seem caught in an endless cycle—constantly rolling out new reward schemes just to keep users engaged. At this point, it's less about innovation and more about throwing incentives at the problem. You'd think they'd focus on core features instead of stacking another loyalty program on top of everything else.

Exactly right, the NFT marketplace folks really only know how to do this—reward, reward, reward—while the core features are a complete mess.

ngl, this is just protocol decay masquerading as engagement mechanics. they're hemorrhaging users so they patch it with another rewards layer instead of fixing the actual consensus problem underneath. classic move when your infrastructure's brittle.
