The United States initiates the first sunset review of anti-dumping and countervailing investigations on Chinese-related vertical engines and their components

According to the China Trade Remedy Information Network, on February 2nd, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced the initiation of the first sunset review investigations on imports of vertical shaft engines and their components with displacements of 225~999cc from China for anti-dumping and countervailing duties. At the same time, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) initiated the first sunset review industry damage investigation on the aforementioned products to determine whether the continuation or recurrence of material injury to the U.S. domestic industry is likely if current anti-dumping and countervailing measures are revoked within a reasonably foreseeable period. Interested parties should register their responses with the U.S. Department of Commerce within 10 days of this notice. Interested parties should submit their reply comments to the U.S. International Trade Commission by March 4, 2026, and no later than April 13, 2026, submit an evaluation of the sufficiency of the reply comments to the U.S. International Trade Commission.
