The number of ETH waiting to enter the Ethereum Proof of Stake (PoS) network has reached a record high. According to data from validatorqueue, as of December 26, 2025, 3,330,385 ETH have been registered in the queue for onboarding, indicating an unprecedented level of institutional interest in participating in validation.
The surge in demand for PoS validation is primarily driven by major players like BitMine, which are massively staking their ETH into the network. BlockBeats notes that this trend is crucial for the security of the Ethereum network and its decentralization. Due to the high demand, an activation delay of approximately 57 days and 20 hours is expected for validators.
An interesting contrast is seen in the queue for leaving the PoS network. Here, only 832 ETH are waiting to exit, with an average waiting time of just 21 minutes. This stark difference clearly demonstrates a one-sided capital flow toward Proof of Stake validation and long-term investor confidence in the Ethereum ecosystem.
