Hyundai faces large-scale recall in the United States: over 40,000 vehicles have side curtain airbag safety issues. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recently announced that Hyundai Motor America needs to proactively recall and inspect 41,651 vehicles due to abnormal activation problems with the top crash airbags. In the event of a collision, these side curtain airbags may fail to deploy properly, significantly increasing the risk of injury to passengers. This large-scale recall involves many American consumers, and Hyundai has initiated the necessary inspection and parts replacement procedures as required by regulatory authorities.
