Construction output in the Czech Republic rose by 5.3% year-on-year in December 2025, easing from an upwardly revised 6.2% increase in the previous month. Growth slowed sharply in building constructions (2.3% vs 8.1% in November). Meanwhile, output grew in civil engineering works (10.9% vs 3.3%). The approximate value of building permits granted surged by 54.7% year-on-year to CZK 36 billion in December. Additionally, the number of dwellings, such as family houses and multi-dwelling buildings, increased by 11.2% to 2,774, while completed dwellings jumped by 56.1% to 2,988. On a monthly basis, construction activity increased by 1.7%, following a flat reading in the preceding period.
