IT House, February 9 — According to foreign media The Verge, Microsoft plans to further adjust the Xbox Game Pass membership tier structure this year, merging Xbox Game Pass Premium on the Xbox platform and PC Game Pass on the PC platform. Going forward, XGP memberships will only offer three tiers: Essential, Premium, and Ultimate (XGPU).

Additionally, Microsoft will modify the lineup of games available on the platform’s Game Pass. Only members subscribed to XGPU will be able to enjoy first-party titles on launch day, while Premium members can only purchase games or upgrade to XGPU.

For comparison, IT House has compiled the pricing for the Hong Kong Xbox Game Pass series memberships as follows:

Essential: HKD 60 per month (IT House note: approximately 53.3 RMB at current exchange rates)

Premium: HKD 90 per month (approximately 80 RMB)

PC Game Pass: HKD 100 per month (approximately 88.8 RMB)

Ultimate: HKD 170 per month (approximately 151 RMB)
