Salesforce has reportedly laid off nearly 1,000 employees at the beginning of the month, affecting teams such as marketing, product management, data analytics, and the Agentforce AI product. This comes amidst an executive reshuffle and increased integration of AI into Salesforce’s operations, which has also been cited by CEO Marc Benioff for reducing customer support staff. Benioff had previously emphasized Agentforce AI’s centrality to Salesforce’s business, despite the current layoffs impacting that very team.
