The Cambodian military conducts a military attack near the border with Thailand
On February 5th, according to Thai media reports, Cambodia fired 40mm grenades toward a Thai military base located in Si Sa Ket Province along the Thailand-Cambodia border. Reliable news source Jin10 reports that this attack was carried out around 10:18 a.m. local time.
Details of the Attack and Damage
So far, there have been no reports of casualties or damage resulting from this military action. It has been confirmed that there were no human losses among soldiers on either side, and serious damage appears to have been avoided despite the tense military situation. Given that the attack involved only 40mm grenades, the physical damage is considered to be limited.
Tense Situation at the Thailand-Cambodia Border
Si Sa Ket Province is a region with several key military installations along the Thailand-Cambodia border. This area has a historical background of territorial disputes and border conflicts between the two countries, and this incident reflects the manifestation of such underlying tensions. Military exchanges in the border area highlight how delicate the relationship between Thailand and Cambodia remains.
