The Spring Festival holiday is approaching, and after Pang Donglai, another Henan company has gained attention.

Recently, a drinking water company in Yiyang County, Luoyang, Henan, drew public focus due to a 21-day holiday for the Spring Festival. On February 11, the company’s leader responded that employees officially began their holiday on February 10, and the factory premises are being guarded by family members.

According to the company’s holiday notice, the Spring Festival break lasts from February 11 to the Lantern Festival on March 3, with work resuming on March 4 (the sixteenth day of the lunar new year). The notice specifically emphasizes that overtime, on-duty shifts, and disturbing colleagues are prohibited during the holiday period, and states “Celebrating the New Year means eating well, drinking well, sleeping well, and playing well.” The company leader mentioned that “no overtime” does not carry actual punitive measures; the main goal is for employees to rest fully, and employees are welcome to visit the factory during the holiday if they wish.

The leader stated that he has been in the drinking water industry for many years, with a brief career change in between, and that this company was established in October 2024. In recent years, the company has arranged longer holidays for employees during the Spring Festival, with this year’s holiday slightly longer than last year’s. He said that overall performance has been good this year, and the extended holiday is part of the company’s long-term plan. If the benefits continue to improve, this practice will be maintained.

Reports indicate that besides extending the holiday, the company also offers various employee benefits. During major festivals, employees receive New Year goods and gifts; after the 2025 college entrance exam, the company also distributed mobile phones and cash rewards up to 5,000 yuan to several outstanding employees’ children.

Prior to this, Henan benchmark welfare company Pang Donglai also attracted attention for its Spring Festival holiday arrangements. On February 4, Pang Donglai Trading Group announced that from February 16 (the 29th day of the lunar month) to February 20 (the fourth day of the lunar new year), all stores would be closed for five days for the Spring Festival, resuming normal operations on February 21 (the fifth day of the lunar new year). The period around the Spring Festival is a crucial time for retail businesses. A Pang Donglai employee confirmed that stores indeed closed from New Year’s Eve to the fourth day of the lunar new year, totaling five days. The company always has a fixed holiday during the Spring Festival, allowing employees to rest better, spend quality time with family, and enjoy the holiday. Some employees from other places also take the opportunity to return home and reunite with their families.

The employee mentioned, “Many customers know that we take a holiday during the Spring Festival, so recently many have called to inquire about the holiday schedule, wanting to buy New Year goods before the break. So, there is usually a busy period before the holiday.”

Notably, yesterday, Pang Donglai founder Yu Donglai posted on social media announcing his official retirement after the New Year, transitioning to an advisory role. Pang Donglai’s operations will be overseen by the Decision-Making Committee.
