The initial version of Pi Launchpad has been released on the testnet as a Pi App with test tokens! Since Launchpad introduces new concepts to many Pi users and its mechanisms differ from typical token issuance methods in Web3, it is being launched first on the testnet so that the community can familiarize themselves with the entire process before the mainnet goes live.
Launchpad implements the mechanisms outlined in PiRC design 1, which was released on the anniversary of the Open Network!
