Starting January 14th, I got Mounjaro peptide injections for weight loss. It's been exactly two months now. At 5'9" (174cm), my weight dropped from 150 lbs (68kg) to 134 lbs (60.7kg) in two months.

I ordered it directly through Meituan without seeing a doctor beforehand. The main reason was to treat fatty liver disease—this injection is considered a special treatment for it. My visceral fat has likely plummeted along with my body weight these past two months.

Results: I get one injection per week. For the first 4 weeks, I was on 2mg, losing about 1-1.5 lbs per week—not particularly fast. On the fifth injection, I increased to 4mg for 3 weeks, and my weight dropped dramatically from 147 to 137 lbs. The speed was so fast I got scared, so on week 8 I dropped back to 2mg where I've stayed until now. Tomorrow should be my ninth injection.

Regarding side effects everyone asks about: basically none in daily life, BUT **absolutely no alcohol during the injection period**! I had one really severe half-month of side effects—right before Chinese New Year. After increasing from 2mg to 4mg, I went clubbing the next day at an office party and drank heavily. This drug delays gastric emptying, so alcohol metabolism is much slower. I stayed drunk for several days. Normally you'd get sick that same night, but I didn't start vomiting until the next evening. Then I caught a bad cold during the New Year period. Aside from that rough stretch, side effects were very minor. The first couple weeks I was sleepier and slept longer, but sleep quality actually improved. I also experienced motion sickness on cars and planes in the first month, but that disappeared in month two.

Why no exercise? I have a turtle personality—the discomfort of working out far exceeds these side effects for me. Plus, daily willpower is a limited resource, like action points in a game. If you spend it here, it's gone elsewhere. My usual crypto positions start at millions of dollars, I have to watch the market, I'm working on AI projects—all very stressful and my energy is already depleted. I can only find energy for exercise during time off when I'm not working. Combined with exercise, results would obviously be better.

As for the male-specific concerns: function actually got stronger, but libido dropped significantly—frequency decreased noticeably. I think it's mainly because eating less means the body feels undernourished, so fewer resources are allocated to the reproduction system.

The core principle of weight loss injections is delaying gastric emptying—essentially shutting off the hunger switch. You can definitely lose weight by starving yourself, but you suffer from hunger. Now with normal routine, I eat once between 3-4pm, and sometimes when busy until 11pm at night, I won't even feel hungry. So I'm essentially still starving, and my body burns fat for energy.

Advantages: As mentioned, not eating late-night snacks has noticeably improved sleep quality, work performance and energy levels. Plus, skipping two meals daily saves over 1,000 yuan per month. The disadvantages: injections alone without exercise theoretically means losing some muscle. The third-generation version is called some other peptide and is in advanced clinical trials—supposedly you can build muscle with it.

I'm planning to do a comprehensive physical checkup this month and compare it with last year's data.
