🤔 Tech in the S&P 500 is gradually losing weight

🔎 The share of the technology sector in the S&P 500 has decreased by about 3% over the year after a peak of about 35%. At the same time, the combined weight of Energy and Materials has increased slightly to ~6%, although this is still one of the lowest levels in history.
The gap between the technology and materials sectors is about 26% - one of the largest in more than 30 years.
👀 During the dot-com bubble, a similar situation ended with the decline of Tech's share and the beginning of a multi-year rise of Energy and Materials.
