this isn’t nearly as bullish as people make it out to be


if you actually look at what’s behind the headline it tells a completely different story
“ready to end war” sounds like de-escalation but the actual statement is conditional, defensive and tied to demands
that’s not a signal of stopping, that’s positioning
what happened today also feels like it was framed as a direct response to what trump said when in reality it looks taken out of context rather than an actual shift in stance
iran is speaking from a place of leverage, not weakness
their biggest card is the pressure they can put on the global economy through the strait
so it doesn’t really make sense for them to give that up this early
this feels more like how the message was framed than what was actually said
headline creates the reaction but the substance doesn’t support it
and in a market that’s trained to buy every dip that reaction just gets amplified
so if you look past the headline nothing really changed here
i’ll be the first to admit i’m wrong if this actually leads to real de-escalation but right now this just doesn’t look like it yet
