[Bitcoin L2 development company BGD launches ZK Rollup "Strata" on Bitcoin chain]
Bitcoin L2 development company BGD launched the platform "Strata" built using ZK rollup technology.
According to reports, Strata was launched by BGD after two years of research and development. In the first phase, Strata will become a ZK rollup on Bitcoin with a trust-minimized BitVM bridge. In the long run, Strata will become a settlement layer for ZK proofs directly on Bitcoin.
Earlier in April, BGD announced that it had completed a $10.6 million financing round, led by Ribbit Capital, with participation from Castle Island Ventures, Robot Ventures and Axiom Capital. Last year, BGD developed the Bitcoin Rollup infrastructure, which aims to introduce smart contract functions into the Bitcoin network.
