JUST IN:India arrests Darwin Labs co-founder in GainBitcoin scam investigation. India’s Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested Ayush Varshney, co-founder and chief technology officer of Darwin Labs Private Limited, in connection with the ongoing investigation into the GainBitcoin cryptocurrency fraud.
According to a press release shared Wednesday via the CBI’s official X account, Varshney was detained at Mumbai airport on Monday as he attempted to leave India after an arrest warrant was issued against him. He was formally arrested and handed over to the CBI on Tuesday.
