Odaily Daily Planet News Google has launched an AI tool that can be used as a 'virtual co-author' for biomedical scientists. This new tool, tested by scientists at Stanford University and Imperial College London, can help scientists analyze a large number of documents and propose new hypotheses with advanced reasoning capabilities. Google's artificial intelligence department, DeepMind, prioritizes scientific research, and DeepMind's head, Demis Hassabis, also received the Nobel Prize in Chemistry last year with others for the technology developed by his team. Google stated that in an experiment on liver fibrosis, all the methods proposed by this 'assistant' showed the potential to inhibit the causes of the disease and demonstrated very positive activity. Google also pointed out that AI has the ability to optimize expert-generated solutions over time. 'Although these results still need further validation, it offers a promising direction in using efficient AI systems to enhance and accelerate the work of expert scientists.' (Kinsey)
