According to a report by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the fastest growing industries by 2034 will be healthcare and social assistance, with an expected growth rate of 8.4%. This includes positions such as nurse practitioners and physician assistants, with the primary driving factors being an aging population and the rising prevalence of chronic diseases.

The demand for systems, data processing, and software development based on artificial intelligence (AI) will drive a 7.5% growth in professionals in the industry, such as data scientists and information security analysts.

The following are the fastest-growing occupations by 2034, along with the expected number of new jobs and the current median salaries for each position. However, rapid growth does not necessarily mean there will be many job openings, as this may only refer to occupations with a very small population share.
